Can Yahoo Remain A Viable Company

Yahoo, once the flourishing example of a technology giant, isn't doing as well as it once was. Some analysts and experts are even questioning the company's viability in the years to come, with the most pessimistic predicting a funeral within the next half of a decade. However, there's also plenty of controversy on that, and Yahoo may not be doing as poorly as you think.

Can Yahoo Remain A Viable Company?
Can Yahoo Remain A Viable Company?

It's certainly a fact that Yahoo is on the decline in several departments. For one, their employee count has been cut, with the layoff of somewhere between 600 and 700 employees. This even resulted (we all suspect) in some temporary site glitches, such as the linking of images on the Yahoo home page to a pornographic image.

This all came at the tail end of several technology forfeitures as well. Yahoo had already abandoned their advertisement management, and handed their search engine results management to Bing on a silver platter. Shortly after the layoffs, a leak also indicated that the company would be hacking and slashing at projects that weren't profitable " and that there were about a dozen of these in all.

Is this the end for Yahoo? Well maybe not!
