A sheer dress Kate Middleton modelled at a charity fashion show nine years ago is going up for auction today.
Rex Features
Back in 2002 Kate Middleton wore a knitted mesh slip-dress and some black underwear when she strutted down the runway for a charity fashion show at St Andrews University in Scotland. Prince William was sitting in the front row. He had paid £200 for the seat and according to royal legend he made his first move at a party later that evening.
The infamous dress was only ever worn by Kate Middleton at the charity fashion show and it is going under the hammer today (expecting to go for between £8,000 and £10,000).
To celebrate the dresses auction, we've taken a look at Kate's style through the years and see how she has gone from raunchy to regal.
